There are many considerations when you are purchasing an Emergency Medical & ALS vehicle to respond to emergencies.   These Emergency Medical specialty vehicles and ALS advanced life support emergency response vehicles need to be heavy duty and built well to handle the rough treatment they will receive.

Sedan

Sedan Fly car for Emergency Medical & ALS rapid response could carry a paramedic for advanced care to assist an EMT emergency medical technician.  These emergency response vehicles would have a light bar, supplemental lighting on the front, sides and rear, graphics, and a siren.  These vehicles would carry less equipment than an ambulance, but could carry narcotics or other specially controlled medications to an incident.

SUV

SUV for Emergency Medical & ALS rapid response could carry a paramedic for advanced care to assist an EMT emergency medical technician or it could carry EMTs to an incident prior to an ambulance arriving.  These emergency response vehicles would have a light bar, supplemental lighting on the front, sides and rear, graphics, and a siren.  These vehicles would carry less equipment than an ambulance, but could carry narcotics, controlled medications, and other specialty equipment to an incident.  These vehicles are also good for transporting a patient using a patient transport cabinet from a remote location to an awaiting ambulance to then transfer the patient to a hospital.

Motorcycle

Motorcycle Emergency Medical & ALS emergency medical vehicle for rapid response could carry a paramedic for advanced care to assist an EMT emergency medical technician.  These emergency response vehicles would have emergency lights where they can fit on the vehicle, graphics, and a siren.  These vehicles would carry minimal equipment but could carry narcotics or other specially controlled medications to an incident.  The motorcycle could be operated by a highly trained paramedic to respond to high traffic areas for initial care or specialized care.

All Terrain Vehicle

All Terrain Vehicle ATV, UTV Utility Task Vehicle, ORV Off Road Vehicles are used for emergency response in off road conditions with unmaintained roads or fields.  These vehicles have larger tires to handle softer ground with less sinking.  These vehicles can be used for transporting emergency medical responders to a remote location to treat and transport a patient.  These vehicles can carry responders, medical equipment, and supplies where on street vehicles may not be able to respond.

Type 1 Ambulance

Type 1 Ambulance is based on a heavy duty truck chassis with a custom back for patient transport and transporting equipment.  These vehicles can also be used for specialty response for pediatric or other responses where local resources may not be fully equipped. Two patients or more could be transported in this vehicle depending on the layout desired.  They types of equipment transported can be more general because of more room with a stronger chassis.

Type 2 Ambulance

Type 2 Ambulance is based on a van chassis and body with a raised roof.  These emergency response vehicles would respond to a medical hazardous incident and treat and transport a patient.  These vehicles can be the least costly and be used by for profit transport companies that transport non-life-threatening patients from their homes to medical appointments or treatments.

Type 3

Type 3 Ambulance is based on a van chassis with a custom rear body.  These emergency response vehicles can be a little more expensive than type 2 ambulances because of the custom rear body which will be larger than a van.
